Random Selections - What do I do?
I was Selected for a Random Test. What do I do?
Order the Random Drug or Alcohol Test through your Express Labs Account, confirm the Collection Site is open and accepting walk-ins, then Get Tested Immediately.
My Driver was Selected for Random Testing. What do I do?
Order the Random Drug or Alcohol Test through your Express Labs Account, then confirm the Collection Site is open and accepting walk-ins, and notify the Driver to Get Tested Immediately.
How do I know if I have a Random Selection?
Random Selections are emailed and posted to your Express Labs Account in January, April, July, and October. If no email is received, check your Account at the beginning of February, May, August, and November.
I didn’t see the Random Selection email. What do I do?
Check your Express Labs Account for the Random Selection. Your Account is the official notification, even if you did not receive the email.
Can you call or text me for Random Testing?
Express Labs sends Random Selection notifications by email and posts them to your Express Labs Account.
Ordering a Random Test
How do I order a Random Drug Test?
Order the Random Drug Test online through your Express Labs Account, select Random as the Reason for Testing, choose a Collection Site, complete the order, then notify the Driver to Get Tested Immediately.
How do I order a Random Alcohol Test?
Order the Random Alcohol Test online through your Express Labs Account, select Random as the Reason for Testing, choose a Collection Site, complete the order, then notify the Driver to Get Tested Immediately.
I don’t see my Driver’s name listed when I order a Drug Test.
Check your Random Selections to confirm whether the Driver was selected for Drug Testing or Alcohol Testing, then order the correct Random Test.
Drivers who are Unavailable or No Longer Active
My Driver no longer works for my Company. What do I do?
If the Driver no longer works for your Company, Deactivate them in your Express Labs Account and you will automatically receive a Re-Selection.
My Driver is on Vacation. What do I do?
If the Driver has not been notified, notify them when they return and have them Get Tested Immediately.
I’m an Owner-Operator and I am out of the Country. What do I do?
Complete the Random Test immediately when you return. If you know in advance that you will be unavailable for Random Testing, Deactivate yourself in your Express Labs Account before being selected.
I’m an Owner-Operator and I’m out of State. What do I do?
Order the Random Test through your Express Labs Account, find a Collection Site near you, confirm they are open and accepting walk-ins, then Get Tested Immediately.
Re-Selections
I Deactivated my Driver after they were Selected. What happens now?
If the Selection Period is still open, another Driver will automatically be Re-Selected.
Why was the same Driver Selected again?
Random Selections are computer-generated each quarter, and every Active Driver has an equal chance of being selected, even if they were selected in a previous quarter.
Collection Sites & QPassports
The Collection Site on the QPassport is closed. What do I do?
Order another test at a different Collection Site, then call to confirm they are open and accepting walk-ins.
Can I use my QPassport at a different Collection Site?
No. The QPassport can only be used at the Collection Site listed. To use a different Collection Site, order a new test. Members are charged for Results, not unused QPassport orders.
Can I choose a different Driver for the Random Selection?
No. Random Selections are computer-generated, and every Active Driver has an equal chance of being Selected each Quarter.
Random Testing Requirements
My Driver already had a Drug Test recently. Do they still have to take the Random Test?
Yes. The Driver still needs to complete each Random Selection, even if they recently had another Drug Test.
I missed a Random Selection from last Quarter. Can I still complete it now?
Yes. Complete the missed Random Selection immediately and document the delay for your records.
I didn’t see a Random Selection from a previous quarter. What do I do?
If the Driver has not been notified, notify them now and have them Get Tested Immediately.
